The authority profile checklist.
Turn your profile from a résumé into a client magnet. 5 sections, applicable today.
Your LinkedIn profile is probably written like a résumé. Perfect for job hunting — useless for attracting clients. The decision-maker who lands on your profile doesn't want your CV: they want to know in 3 seconds whether you solve their problem. Tap each item to check it off.
01Photo and banner
- Professional photo, face visible, clean background. No group-photo crops, no blurry selfies.
- A banner with your promise, not a landscape. One line on who you help and what result. It's the most wasted space on LinkedIn.
02The headline (the most important part)
The mistake: listing only your job title. "General Manager at [company]". Nobody cares about your title.
The formula that works: who you help + what result + how.
- Names who you help (your ideal client sees themselves in it)
- Names a concrete result, not vague adjectives
- Makes sense in 3 seconds without thinking
03The "About" section
- First line = hook. LinkedIn truncates the text; that line decides whether they keep reading.
- Talk about the client's pain, not your career. Make them see themselves.
- Close with a clear next step. "If [situation], message me and let's talk."
- No giant paragraphs. Short sentences. White space.
04Proof and services
- "Services" section switched on with what you offer (helps people find you).
- Featured content with a case, a testimonial or a result with numbers.
- Recommendations from clients or colleagues. Social proof sells for you.
- Experience focused on results you generated, not tasks you did.
05The final test
Show your profile to someone who doesn't know you. Let them look for 5 seconds, then take it away.
Ask them: who do I help, and with what?
If they can't answer, your profile is still written like a résumé. Go back to step 2.
P.S. — read this
An authority profile is the foundation. But a good-looking profile with no system bringing people to see it is a shop window in a dead-end alley.
The LinkedIn Flywheel positions your profile and brings 10 to 30 decision-makers a month into your calendar, automatically. If you sell offers of $1,000 or more, DM me SISTEMA.
